Start From Where You Are: Drawing For All Levels

In any endeavor, we start from where we are and progress from there. Drawing is no different. Whether you are returning to it after years of focusing on technical processes in your art, or have never picked up a piece of charcoal in your life, this course is designed to meet you where you are. Together in small, supportive, and friendly groups, we will refresh, renew, or start from scratch, improving our ability to see and respond to the world through drawing.

I bring many years of teaching experience to this class. I am a member of the Foundation Program faculty at the Boston Architectural Center, and have taught both adults and teenagers (including those with learning disabilities) through continuing education and out of my own studio. But don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten what it feels like to be a student, sometimes confident and sometimes overwhelmed -- and often both in the same day. This course is designed to help you develop your skills no matter what they are when you enter the classroom.

Classes are mixed-level and tailored to the individual needs and skills of the students. If you want more practice, you are welcome to register for multiple sessions. Learn more and sign up here.
